Stefano Nigro a commencé ses études de direction d’orchestre en 2013 avec Damian Iorio, après avoir été diplômé en piano du Conservatoire Giuseppe Verdi de Come, Italie. En 2016-2017 il a continué ses études de direction avec Christof Brunner auprès de la «Zürcher Hochschule der Künste» (Zurich). Il a participé à des masterclasses avec Colin Metters, Sian Edwards et Johannes Schlaefli. En 2014 il a remporté le prix de meilleur étudiant de la 4e Florence Conducting Masterclass, et fait ses début à la XXXVe «Stagione dell’Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina» et lors de la XVIe «Stagione di Toscana Classica». En 2015 il a accompagné le trompettiste Gabriele Cassone en concert. En 2016 il a collaboré à la production de Madame Butterfly au «State Opera and Ballet Theatre di Krasnojarsk» (Russie) comme assistant de Damian Iorio. En octobre 2016 et en avril 2017, il a dirigé la «Sofia Academy Symphony Orchestra». En mai 2017 il a dirigé le «AS Festival Orchestra» à la Villa Olmo (Como).


Stefano Nigro undertook his conducting studies under the lead of Damian Iorio in 2013, after graduating in Piano from the Giuseppe Verdi Conservatory of Como (Italy). During 2016 and 2017 he continued his studies in conducting attending the lessons of Christof Brunner at Zurich University of the Arts. He participated in Masterclasses held by Colin Metters, Sian Edwards and Johannes Schlaefli. In 2014 he won the Best Student Grant in the IV edition of the Florence Conducting Masterclass : he made his debut in the XXXV Florence Chamber Orchestra Season and in the XVI Toscana Classica Season (2015), and accompanied the trumpet player Gabriele Cassone in concert. During 2016 he was assistant to Damian Iorio at the State Opera and Ballet Theatre in Krasnojarsk (RU) and took part in Madame Butterfly production. In October 2016 and later in April 2017 he conducted the Sofia Academy Symphony Orchestra; in May 2017 he was in Villa Olmo (Como) for conducting AS Festival Orchestra.
