Symphonic Immersion

Come discover an invisible orchestra!

Installation showing from 9 to 23 September 2017
Cour du Palais Granvelle, Musée du Temps, Besançon
Free admission, outdoors

An audio-visual installation based on an original idea from Jacopo Baboni Schilingi, Immersion symphonique provides a new method of exchange with symphony through an interactive virtual orchestra which invites the audience to take apart and reset a symphonic work.
Moving about the middle of ancient ruins by means of a unique stage design (created by Romuald Boissenin), the audience members are at once witnesses and actors to the show: when someone in the audience is on an identified spot, a group of instruments plays a fragment of a symphonic work. If more than one person is on the installation, all of the instruments will gradually be heard.
