Great success for Jonathon Heyward with the Los Angeles Philharmonic

In early December, during his second stint as part of the Dudamel Conducting Fellowship program, young American conductor Jonathon Heyward made his debut with the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra (soloist Hilary Hahn).

“Heyward forged a seamless connection among the music, the orchestra and the audience”.
These are the words chosen by the Los Angeles Times to define Jonathon Heyward.

Winner of the 54th International Competition for Young Conductors in Besançon in 2015, aged only 23, Jonathon graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in June 2016. He is currently Assistant Conductor of The Hallé, alongside Music Director Sir Mark Elder.
